For hundreds of years a secret war between a league of assassins and knight templars has been waged. The Templar Order seeks to bring about a perfect world of harmony and peace through extreme means such as enslavement. The Assassin Order firmly believes that man should always have free will and the ability to choose. Assassins such as Altair have done their best to make the world a better place by ridding it of these heartless individuals. Many a famous historic figure has fallen victim to the blade. But as time passed, the Templars grew stronger while the Assassin numbers dwindled. The order moved from the city of Masyaf to Italy and Spain where Ezio Auditore was able to bolster their numbers.
Abstergo, the most powerful Templar Company, has risen to power over the years and continues to push forth their agenda. Thankfully the Assassins have not all been killed off. A few cells still remain around the globe, each assassin fighting to keep man’s free will. It is now the year 2012 and the descendant of both Altair and Ezio, Desmond Miles, fights alongside three other assassins to take down the powerful organization. But something else is taking place… something far more deadly. During an animus session, Desmond was informed by Minerva, a member of Those Who Came Before, that the world would suffer a great catastrophe. The only way to prevent it was to bring together all the Pieces of Eden.
With this knowledge, Desmond and the others have informed the assassin cells of what must be done. The Pieces are scattered all over the world and the assassins and templars are racing to find them all. Who will come out on top? Which side of the war will you join? Or will you simply remain oblivious like all the other civilians? Creed of Assassins waits for your answer.
