I'm creating a character, and have two different visions of her in mind, one as a student, one as a teacher. I was wondering who teaches what at the Xavier Institute. I would want my character to teach art, and probably some computer classes (or at least graphic arts). If the spot is taken, though, I'll know for sure to create my character as a teenager instead of an adult. Also, I just don't want to step on anyone's toes by unwittingly taking his or her character's teaching position. Is there somewher I can look to find out about this? Or can someone fill me in? Much appreciated.

I would ping TC, who plays Goldust, the current art-teacher, for her opinion on the topic. She happens to also be an admin, so she'll be able to tell you exactly what you can do with your charrie.

Hello, hello. The links Blue (Beast) posted are good to check out. The first one will be updated after the site's activity check is complete, so the second one has the best details right now. And I do have Goldust, who is an art teacher, but there can be different types of art teachers! Goldust would deal most in like crafts and sculpture and that sort of stuff. So, you could make your character teach graphic arts and/or computer classes if you want.

Ok. Penumbra is definitely more interested in advertising & graphics, especially logos, etc., because she's a huge music fan as well. I still have to decide, though. I think I'm actually going to go with her being a student, but I'm not sure. There could be some interesting RP between Penumbra & Goldust, if I get approved.
I'm also a bit worried, because I'm a senior in college, and will be writing my thesis in January, and will be wrapped up with that and probably not as active on here as I'd like, which of course makes for a rough start on the board.
Also, does anyone think it will be a big deal if the "Portrayed By" I take is significantly older than the character? I just can't think of anyone else who fits the look & feel of my character as well as this person does, even though I'm pretty sure she doesn't look like a teenager. Thoughts?
