November 12th The rules have a new format! They are now Main Rules and Extended Rules. Main rules are what people need to know when first joining up, and the extended are to help members become more accustomed to the site. Also, the staff's contact info has been moved to it's own thread.

This is an X-Men RPG. Here you can role-play a canon character or your very own original mutant or human character. Keep in mind, we do not allow fantasy creatures such as elves, vampires, wizards, etc. So please keep away from them when creating a mutant.
To join, check out the Join the X-Men! board first and read the rules. Once you post your join form, remember to wait for an admin to approve your character before you start playing. Any questions you have may be posted on our questions board, or asked via PM to any of our staff members listed on the right.

Setting:
It's currently autumn in New York state. The Mutant Registration Act wasn't passed, but it's tied up in legislation and hasn't been completely denied. Meanwhile, the Brotherhood are clearly up to something. Does the recent kidnapping of an X-Man trainee have anything to do with it?
Join The X-Men! This should be your first stop! Please read all rules, as well as any stickies you find on this board. Once you've done that, you're ready to post your join form. Move on to the Character Join Forms board to do that. Remember, your character must be approved before you can start RPing!
General Chat This is a board for just basic chat. You can chat about anything you want here, as long as it follows our rules. There's also a sub-board here, if you're looking for someone to RP with.

In Character
Xavier's Institute for Higher Learning Xavier's Insitute, located in Salem Center, New York. It's the home of the X-Men, a school for the gifted, and a safe haven for mutants in need. For a detailed layout of the Institute, check out this thread(click!).

Salem Center This is the town of Salem Center, New York. It's filled with all the standard places, including a medical center, police station, shopping mall, cinema, church, bank, and plenty of dine in and fast food restaurants. There's also a community college located here.

Housing Here's where you can post your characters at home. This board includes all different types of places to live, such as the high class mansions and homes with a ton of acreage, the middle class houses, apartments, trailers, and then the low class cruddy apartments and trailer park.

Morlock Tunnels These tunnels were built in the 1950s by the U.S. Government as shelters in case of a national emergency. They were later abandoned, and discovered by Callisto. Most of the public has no idea these tunnels even exist. The tunnels are huge, and are beneath not only New York, but New Jersey, and Connecticut, as well. The main tunnel is 50 feet high, and is known as 'The Alley' by the Morlocks.

The Great Outdoors This is the place for all the outdoor activities that take place outside of town. There's the Wakesilva Woods, with many trails for hikers, bicyclists, and horseback riders, and a road for cars. The Poctra Mountains are also a nice place to hike or ride bikes. And then there's Banff Lake, where all sorts of water activities take place, as well as iceskating and such in the winter months. There are also cabins on the lakeshore for rent. For some beach fun, one would have to travel about an hour away to the beachs in the nearby Conneticut.

The Rest of The World Here you can post any place that is located outside of the Salem Center area. This could be any other place in Westchester County, any other place in New York state, any other place in the United States, or even any other place in the world. (NYC is about an hour and a half to two hours away.)
